On experience the main issues occur on the move day due to customer’s not being fully prepared for the move.
Our house removal companies have conducted hundreds of house moves. The principles of a move are always the same.
“The house removals team arrives, they load the vehicle – securing and protecting your items, they travel to your new home, they unload your contents, then they leave you to organise your new home”.
Its customers preperation which often causes delays and issues on the day.
- Not arranging parking outside of the home so the house moving team have to walk a distance to get to the home, resulting in a more labourious move than anticipated.
- Still packing items on the morning of the move – when the moving team have arrived, this can cause access issues and if you have not finished packing by the time the movers have loaded the removals vehicle then they will be waiting for you.
- Not dismantling furniture which needs dismantling, which may result in the moving team to dismantle the items which will take additional time and would not have been factored into the quote. If you have issues dismantling items then let the movers know in advance of the move and they will arrive earlier to dismantle your items.
